Murray for Congress

Debate

Her record. His position.

How Rep. McClellan has voted and what she has said, compared with how Robert would vote.

Why no debates?

Did you know that last year, Ghazala Hashmi wouldn’t debate John Reid for Assistant Governor? This year:

  • VA Senator Mark Warner declined to debate Bert Mizusawa for Senate.
  • VA-04 Congress Rep. Jennifer McClellan declined the bi-partisan “Town Hall” candidate comparison in Disputanta, VA. She didn’t request a reschedule. Further back, she never debated any of her ballot challengers for Congress, Leon or Bill.

Jennifer and Mark have done little to foster democratic dialogue for their constituents, yet legislate based on their view that they know what is best for you and your family. How would you know if they are right?

As longtime politicians, neither has had real world work experience. Being a party operative or a corporate lobbyist is not the same as building or running a business, taking out loans, creating a product, hiring help, negotiating competitive sales, managing cash and balance sheets, accepting customer returns, dealing with theft or fixing “acts of God”, paying proper taxes, or giving free work to satisfy a customer or client or impress a partner or supplier. By comparison, lawmakers use police and judges to fix “complaints”. Career politicians cannot relate.

Robert Murray has the multi-cultural, multi-industry, global experience, which has actually helped him relate with everyday Americans and improve their lives. For example, after a third of a century, Robert is still paying off his college loans and filing quarterly taxes. He rents his residence and has never bought a new vehicle. Like Jenn, Robert can litigate. Unlike Jenn, he can weld, drill, mill, and run a lathe. More importantly, Robert knows how to run a business: build and control information technology solutions, engineer processes, redesign organization structures, and optimize supply chains to cut waste and maximize value for his clients, his employees, and himself. More broadly, he has lived through the impacts of laws on people, businesses, economies, and global relations. He could ink a deal with Putin.

A year ago, both Jennifer and Mark entirely ignored Robert’s family’s requests for legislative help.

Jennifer has yet to reach out or address Robert by anything other than his party. Such dehumanizing disregard is the opposite of transparent representation that VA-04 voters have told Robert that they want. That prompted Robert to challenge Jennifer for the seat, because smart, moral people judge people by the content of character, not by color (blue/red).

Robert knows that government can rarely provide what is best for your family. So, Robert follows The Golden Rule and will never knowingly compromise it. Robert has a clear view of a North Star and the discipline to represent everyone in the District, even Jennifer McClellan if she decides to connect with him.

Vote Comparison

Robert and Jenn would sometimes have voted the same way. Even if for different reasons, Robert would have joined Jenn in:

  • Approving the War Powers Resolution (2026 H. Con. Res. 38) to halt the war in Iran until there are clear S.M.A.R.T. goals, a clear path to peaceful relations, and a plan for Congress to endorse that minimizes the risks and issues of Americans for maintaining any armed conflict or proxy war. Military members stuck aboard ships and high fuel prices reflect poor planning and risk mitigation and that must stop now.
  • Rejecting the unconstitutional 2026 FISA extension.

Smart people know that Jennifer doesn’t want you to know the rest of her voting record that includes:

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 28: Supported biological male competitors in women’s sports

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional and Dangerous. Not only beyond Congress’ authority, it’s also harmful to female talents and ruins sports.

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 3838: Supported taxpayer-funded sex changes for military service members (voted against a ban)

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional and Misaligned with the military’s mission. Russian, Iranian soldiers might die laughing that we paid for "gender-affirming" treatments, not guns.

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 21: Voted to aid denial of healthcare to living babies born during abortion

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional and Anti-human. How can any mother support denial of healthcare to living babies that were just violently attacked?

McClellan’s record · Vote

H.R. 7148: Re-approved Biden’s new car “kill-switch” mandate that stops an owner’s from lawfully their own vehicle

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional, Unaffordable, and Dangerous. New cars in China cost <$9,999 but nearly $50,000 in the U.S. Government regulations add crazy requirements, which limit consumer choice. This forces many to buy used, rusty, and unsafe, unreliable cars. Murray supports “right to repair” and SEMA “right to modify” bills that save taxpayers $1400/year. Cars now spy on and adjudicate drivers and passengers. He’d vote against costly, unsafe, and privacy-impairing regulations.

McClellan’s record · Vote

H.R. 7385: Approved the renaming of the 29 Franklin St., Petersburg post office as the “John Mercer Langston Post Office Building”.

Robert’s position

Waste. This is the only bill that Jenn has sponsored and led all the way into becoming federal law, which renamed a post office. The total 3.5 year cost for her and her staff to rename this post office is about $6 million dollars. For less $, taxpayers could have built a new post office and allowed the homeless to sleep in the old one.

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 4016: Approved $118M for Ukraine Foreign Aid (voted against Ukraine

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional and Uncaring: $118M would have clothed, fed, and sheltered all of the homeless neighbors in the District.

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 4 Roll Call 168: Approved $8B in foreign aid and $1B = Public Media

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional pork barrel legislation. Federal-run media begins well, but ends badly (Russia’s Pravda, Izvestija) because whoever pays decides what is printed, said, or omitted. Funding Ukraine is not what our homeless want this winter.

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 8752: Aided immigration

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional and Unaffordable. Immigration now costs every taxpayer ~$2/day ($160B fix; $30B ongoing).

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 2056: Approved Wash. D.C. “Sanctuary City” to impair I.C.E. enforcement

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional. D.C. is not a state. It’s under federal charter. Support local sheriffs and law enforcement and empower them with federal data. Murray prefers to end I.C.E., domestic TSA, and any other federal quasi-police force.

McClellan’s record · Vote

HR 4664: Approved IRS militarization: firearms, ammo

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional. Let us remove IRS from people’s lives, not equip them with guns! Why are guns ok for tax collectors to use against peaceful people, those whom Democrats vote to disarm, leaving them incapable of defending themselves?

McClellan’s record · Vote

S. J. Res. 80: Voted against opening up energy reserves: Alaska Petroleum

Robert’s position

Unconstitutional and Unaffordable. The Federal government’s restriction on a State’s right reduced energy supply, raising today’s fuel prices. More broadly, the anti-human zero carbon UN Agenda 2030 harms U.S. energy independence. Utah and the Bundy’s are right: end the Bureau of Land Management.

VA Amendments

Smart people like Constitutions. Constitutions protect people from government. Constitutions restrain governments, while Statutes, Codes, and Regulations restrain citizens and businesses. When a government is restrained, people enjoy liberty. Fewer restraints lead to tyranny (e.g. Kings or Dictators).

Smart people know that America is not a Democracy. America is a Constitutional Republic with democratic processes (e.g. voting).

Robert Murray asks Virginians to vote No! Jennifer McClellan tells Virginians the opposite. Why?

  • All (3) Amendments to the Virginia Constitution harm your civil rights and empower the government. Criminals never ask for more jail time, they ask for less. Similarly, governments never ask for more constraints, they ask for less. Smart people know that when governments want to change their Constitutional restraints, it is because they want to do something to citizens that citizens have rejected for hundreds of years and that’s bad for citizens.
  • Constitutions give definition to thousands of laws. No one understands all of the legal impacts of the Amendments. If approved, Virginians will spend decades paying lawyers millions (perhaps billions) of dollars to figure out the impacts.
  • The Virginia Constitution represents the contract between Virginians and their government. It should not be changed just because U.S. Supreme Court decisions overrule the Virginia Constitution, which represents the desire of Virginians. U.S. Supreme Court decisions evolve because they are sometimes wrong or are overruled by U.S. Constitution changes.
  • The ballot hides each Amendment’s actual language. Citizens are voting on ballot marketing language and not the actual proposed changes. This is deceitful.
  • Even if there is merit in each proposed Amendment, please vote NO! because:

Q1

Parents should keep oversight of their kids' sexual habits and abortion decisions. Robert “Family Man” Murray wants to protect parental rights and get government out of family decisions.

Q2

Smart people want law aligned with science and international language by keeping the words "sex" to mean the same thing as "gender". They want less government involvement in private relations and fundamental rights like marriages. They also want to preserve 1st Amendment religious free exercise and immunize from litigation all religious leaders who decline to officiate marriages that insult their faith. Smart people must also press religious leaders to speak out about politicians and policies that are immoral and misaligned with their religion!

Q3

The mentally incompetent should not vote. They're easy prey for ballot-harvesting fraud. Smart people do not want their votes suppressed by fraud.

Restoring convicted felons' rights is a separate issue. Democrats combined these issues, either because Democrats think that felons are similarly mentally incompetent, or because Democrats feel they will gain power from getting votes from both the mentally incompetent and felons, whose votes will dilute conservative votes and undermine American values.

North Star?

What guides Jennifer McClellan?

Robert respects that all faiths are protected under the 1st Amendment. To her credit, Jenn seems to as well.

Even so, Robert believes that Human Law must follow some Natural Law or Law of a Creator. Untethered to some moral or spiritual guide or North Star, lawmaking becomes a tool for power and corruption, not the righteous protection of individual inalienable rights.

VA-04 is overwhelmingly Christian, though Abrahamic religions (e.g. Judaism, Islam) have similarities and differences that are respected or observed by VA-04’s constituents. Many are tolerant of others’ faiths (e.g. Hindu, Buddhist, etc.), but still have preferences and at least want to know what guides their government representatives from School Boards to U.S. Congress. When Human Law clearly deviates from their expectations, they’ve wondered if leaders were merely frail or if they were misguided.

Constituents want religious transparency and consistency.

A North Star matters because it shows in the results of all government leaders. Many have shared how lawmaking has moved away from not only the Constitution, but also the Law of our Creator, seemingly countering morality and religion:

  • No major religion recognizes transgender surgeries and treatments as actually altering their Creator’s work by changing one sex to the other. Neither does science. Physical changes and hormone therapies do not alter genetics, much less the biological product of genetics prior to undergoing therapy. Both genders/sexes enjoy their own experiences.
  • The IRS/federal individual income tax is theft (no group of people can make it otherwise, so passing the 16th Amendment is irrelevant. People comply out of fear).
  • Social Security was established and perpetuated under deceitful terms, endangering millions.
  • Wars of “choice” or “prevention” are difficult to distinguish from immoral wars of “aggression”. The right of self-defense begins when violence (e.g. rape) or deprivation of rights (e.g. involuntary confinement) begins. The right of self-defense ends when violence or deprivation of rights ends. Self-defense excludes the uninvolved as collective punishment is immoral.
  • Non-violent people are suffering in prison for crimes they did not commit, but were coerced into plea deals to avoid the possibility of even worse outcomes. Others rot for the crime of carrying our Creator’s dried plants in their pockets, while governments tolerate zombies addicted to manmade drugs and some governments support or outright supply.
  • Unlike temporary national emergencies, wars cannot end ideas (e.g. drugs, terrorism, poverty, Covid-19, expansion, nuclear ambition) so are impossible to satisfy even with genocide, thus serve only represent semi-permanent deprivations of civil rights.

By contrast, Robert has shared with thousands of Americans how he can fix family law by removing government from marriages and letting spouses wed before witnesses and their Creator without government involvement in holy matrimony. Both societal and spiritual interests can be better achieved without marriage licenses, undermining all governmental “compelling interest” claims and ending government conflicts of interest that have ruined countless lives. Robert plans to save Americans >$25Billion/year – enough to feed, clothe, and shelter every homeless American. With Robert, government-enforced family law will follow government-enforced slavery into history’s dustbin of immoral ideas.

Will you stand with Robert?
